Introducing Irene Neuwirth, Lauren Rubinski, Bea Bongiasca and Bibi van der Velden
New to KOIBIRD this season, we welcome the launch of our first ever fine jewellery trunk show. Bringing a curated selection of our favourite fine jewellery pieces from Irene Neuwirth, Lauren Rubinski, Bibi van der Velden and Bea Bongiasca, the edit presents colour, creativity and femininity, staying true to KOIBIRD’s ‘Never Boring’ slogan. Offering one-of-a-kind exclusive pieces made with some of the world’s finest and most vibrant stones, the trunk show is for a true jewellery-lover, a woman who is looking for something unique and precious, that has flair, and will be passed down for generations.
With an enthusiasm to deliver something different, KOIBIRD has carefully selected the four award-winning designers for their collection’s distinct personalities and aesthetics. Each offers their own story, artistry and character. From Hollywood-approved jewels that have graced the red carpet, as well as the pages of Vogue, Harper's Bazaar and W, to more everyday pieces with a sense of humour, each necklace, ring, earring or bracelet offers something avant-garde, whimsical or distinct. These items are anything but ordinary, and will appeal to a person with a passion for adventure, an ambition to stand out and a lover of travel, style, nature or art.
One-on-one Appointments If you are interested in any of the jewellery pieces please contact our Koisquad team who will be on hand 24/7 for enquiries, as well as virtual consultancy and one-on-one appointments.
Irene Neuwirth jewellery is devoted to creating original fine jewellery with imagination and heart. Her world is one of free-spirited beauty, where natural wonders come alive in kaleidoscopic colour. Celebrating uniqueness and vibrant vision, each handmade piece is held to exceptionally high standards of creativity, quality and craftsmanship.
Neuwirth injects fun and femininity into contemporary fine jewellery. She tells us she finds ‘value in things that are imperfect,’ and with this defies the usual jewellery design standards that only traditional is timeless. Instead, Neuwirth plays with all kinds of stones, from opals to turquoise and diamonds, in their raw unmanufactured cuts, to create a kaleidoscopic world of colour and imagination. Her botanical collection – for example – hosts an array of hand-carved flowers, delicately detailed leaves and glorious gemstone flora, that elicit pure delight when worn.
A red carpet favourite, the collection is worn by many of the most accomplished women in entertainment including Naomi Watts, Tracee Ellis Ross, Julianne Moore, Gwyneth Paltrow, Sarah Paulson, Busy Philipps, and Ruth Negga.

Lauren Rubinski is the girl with the golden touch. Designing jewellery for over 10 years with her high jewellery brand Pristine, she creates strong necklaces and bracelets with a chunky tough-girl aesthetic, that feel super lightweight to wear. Working with master artisan craftsmen in Italy, Rubinski chooses to work primarily with gold due to its ability to transcend seasonal trends and to compliment all skin tones. The minimalist curb link appearance means her pieces are perfect for layering, ideal if you want to start a collection, as well as looking great when styled alone. Her collections allude to the classic elegance seen on French and Italian women in the 1950s, and are the type of pieces one can wear with any ensemble, be it sartorial, athleisure, vintage or evening wear.
Offering simple link jewellery as well as some styles with humorous premade sayings such as ‘BFF’, ‘WIFEY’ and ‘MAMA’, Rubinski’s pieces become a second skin to the owner, that can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion. The necklaces in particular are a firm favourite with the world’s coolest It-girls, from Kate Moss and Zoe Kravitz, to Hailey Bieber and Gigi Hadid, and have a effortless chicness that is typical to French girl style.
Strongly influenced by her travels around East Asia, an area which fascinates her both culturally and visually, Bea incorporates her personal travel experiences with a love of pop culture and her western flair. Her pieces hold symbiotic connotations that act as a social critique and dialogue between cultures. Visually, Bea’s jewellery has a sense of kinetic energy, rings wrap around the finger like vines, appearing as fluid swirled lines in vibrant hues. The collections include a roster of stones, from sapphires, topazes and amethysts - as well as rock crystal - that come in marquise and cuts, as well as pavé settings. All her collections are made entirely by hand in Italy.
Since graduating from Central Saint Martins in London in 2013, Milanese designer Bea Bongiasca has been one to watch. Following the opening of her studio in her hometown, Bea has showcased her collections at Art Basel: Miami Beach, and has been worn by many celebrities including Dua Lipa, Julia Roberts, Jess Glynn and Ana de Armas, to name a few.

Best described as wearable works of art (she actually refers to them herself as ‘miniature sculptures’), Bibi van der Velden's collections are playful and often inspired by the animal kingdom and natural world. From banana earrings encrusted with tsavorites and diamond monkey ear huggers, to mermaid bangles and seahorse rings, she uses sustainable and unusual materials for her inspiration, including a 60,000-year-old mammoth tusk and ostrich eggs, which are then sketched by hand and carved into wax. The result? Truly unique pieces made with 18kt Fairtrade Gold, diamond, pearls and other precious stones.
Bibi’s background heavily influences her style. Born in New York, raised in England and the Netherlands, and studying in Florence, her experience with different cultures and creative circles can be seen in the variety of her designs. Be it a pair of earrings or a necklace, every single piece is intricate and artistic, making her eclectic offering so distinguishable from other jewellery designers. A big believer in the idea that jewellery should imbue a wearer with energy, Bibi’s designs infer confidence, individuality and creative flair.
